Front-End Web Developer 1 or 2

As a growing marketing agency, we are looking for an experienced Web Developer 1 or 2 to join our Web Development Team. This individual should have a strong technical background, be experienced in programming fundamentals and paradigms, and have a good understanding of the Web Platform. They possess strong problem solving skills; can innovate, design, and implement creative solutions and improvements to their codebases. They are an effective communicator with team members and other stakeholders to meet the Web Development Team’s goals and project deadlines. They take pride in, and ownership of, the code they author; which is well-structured, readable, and implicitly maintainable.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create websites which are faithful to the original design (mockups, wireframes).
  • Adapt website layouts to be responsive to screen/device widths.
  • Is able to speak on technical challenges, concerns, and updates in ways that a non-technical colleague or client can understand.
  • Author code which interacts with third party APIs and remote systems.
  • Interact directly with customers (internal/external) to resolve requests.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate within a team environment to help contribute to the success of projects and initiatives to deliver results.
  • Conduct code reviews and clearly communicate any problems or potential areas of improvement.
  • Pair programming sessions with Web Support Engineers.
  • Assist Web Support Engineers with web development and support tasks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and provide accurate time estimates for projects.
  • Document and time track projects and requests across multiple platforms (E.g. FreshDesk, Trello).

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of HTML, CSS.
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript and PHP.
  • Familiarity with code design patterns and how to implement them.
  • A strong motivation to continue learning and improve technical skills both in The Web Platform domain and outside of it.
  • Competency with Git and maintaining code repositories.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to work on basic image edits and export site assets for projects.
  • Familiarity with Google Docs and Google Sheets.
  • Ability to navigate the internet easily
  • Ability to use a telephone and speak
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently with understanding of applicable technical terms and jargon
  • Reliable home internet access, access to a telephone (any kind)

Preferred Qualifications

  • A 2 year degree from an accredited institution.
  • An understanding of Web Accessibility (A11Y, WCAG 2.1) concerns and how to resolve them.
  • Familiarity with one or more Front End Javascript Frameworks (E.g. React, Angular, Vue, Svelte).
  • Experience with CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, TailwindCSS).
  • Experience with relational databases and query languages such as SQL.
  • Experience with Node.js

Google Apps, Google Gmail, Excel/Google Sheets, Word/Google Docs, Invision, Clickup, Freshdesk, Trello, Slack, Salesforce.


  • We are currently fully remote with plans for a Hybrid office. This position is available for hybrid/remote work. Preference will be given to local applicants in Tucson, AZ, or nearby areas such as Phoenix, AZ.
