Senior Marketing Strategist

As a growing marketing agency, we are looking for an experienced Senior Digital Marketing Strategist to join our Marketing Team. An adaptive and proactive, forward-thinking team member who will support the marketing team throughout the client lifecycle. From onboarding to client marketing reviews, your efforts will directly impact our client business goals, with a focus on multichannel paid media marketing and campaign design.

Find New Ways To Create Growth for Clients

Senior Marketing Strategists are vital to creating and deploying customized marketing strategies to our clients. Out-side-of-the-box thinking is required to create campaigns in the ever changing landscape that is Paid Media, what worked a few years ago, might not work today. You’ll be working closely with your clients in a book of business to make sure their offline and online efforts are aligned. Bring your A game and help us push the limits of our current strategic architecture to help our clients win more business. You will lead the development of effective strategies and inspired creative briefs. The strategist works closely with account managers, the creative team, and clients to define client goals and drive insights that shape project solutions.

Expert Communication

It is the responsibility of the Senior Marketing Strategist to communicate effectively with clients and provide answers to any issues or questions that may arise including regularly scheduled marketing review meetings, daily inbox requests and cross team collaborative projects.

Client Facing and Backend Experience

A Senior Digital Marketing Strategist knows how to create, launch, and monitor Google Ads. You are comfortable in the Google ecosystem and are able to work in the following applications to set up marketing activities for client websites. Google Ads, Google Search Console*, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager*, UTM codes, Conversion(s) and tracking methods, bidding strategies.

*you don’t need to be a pro, at least some working experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own a book of business and maintain white glove relationships with clients
  • Researching clients to understand them and their goals/objectives
  • Writing clear, concise, and well informed strategy briefs, plans and decks to inspire both clientele and team members
  • Analyzing clients to uncover opportunities to stimulate growth
  • Train and guide junior marketing specialists with best practices and problem solving
  • Analyze PPC ads campaigns and other paid media efforts for efficacy and optimize on regular basis
  • Create, analyze, and maintain digital advertising campaigns, Google Ad accounts and client properties including Google Maps listings (GMB/GBP), Bing etc. As well as monitoring advertising and website efforts via multiple platforms (Moz/Ahrefs)
  • Keyword research, traffic analysis, budget recommendations as well as proactive Ad account management
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing Specialists and Project Managers to carry out changes, updates, or adjustments to better meet client goals.
  • Comfortable working with metrics heavy views of advertising data. You must be able to understand metrics and are able to easily explain the meaning and importance to a client or stakeholder who does not understand marketing
  • Onboard new clients into our marketing ecosystem via a variety of platforms and project tracking tools
  • Work effectively with others to read and respond to varying complexity of client requests via a team email inbox in a timely manner
  • Ability to speak and listen to team mates, clients and other contacts with empathy and a desire to create solutions
  • Work with other teams to execute day to day tasks
  • Clearly and concisely communicate with others over the phone, via Slack or email, or voice and video meetings. As well as documenting project progress across multiple platforms (Salesforce, Monday, etc.)
  • Interface with clients directly on a regular or daily basis via Zoom, Google Meets, phone calls, and video conferencing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of Google Ads Marketing
  • 1+ year of Strategy creation including writing briefs - agency experience preferred
  • Multiple Product Certified: Including Google video, Meta, Instagram etc.
  • Prior experience in other paid media channels, Facebook/Meta, Bing
  • Experience with website and search personalization
  • Previous experience working in a client facing role, especially Customer Service or Retail Sales

Required Qualifications

  • Current or past Google Ads & Analytics certification (if expired, must recertify before final interview or offer)
  • Associates Degree in Marketing, Business or related area OR career certificate such as Google Grow Digital Marketing Career Certificate
  • Minimum 5 years experience Google Ads
  • Understanding of common SEO issues and tactics
  • Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent Analytical skills, must be able to speak about complex data and metrics in understandable terms
  • Ability to use spreadsheets at a basic level
  • Ability to navigate the internet easily
  • Ability to use a telephone and speak
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently with understanding of applicable technical terms and jargon
  • Reliable home internet access, access to a telephone (any kind)

Platforms we use and you will work in regularly:
Google Apps, Google Gmail, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Console, Excel/Google Sheets, Word/Google Docs.
