Where We Came FromWe came from humble beginnings
Automatit started developing websites in the travel and tourism industry in the late 90’s. We became affiliates of what is now the Expedia Travel Network and worked to pioneer the online reservation process for hotels, cars and condos. Over time we learned what it took to convert a shopper to a paying customer and we did so because our paycheck depended on it. Back in 2005 Automatit generated over 10 million in travel revenue from it’s websites. We have worked in several industries over the years, including vacation rentals, residential real estate and other small businesses. In 2006 we found the self storage industry and as they say, the rest is history.
Where We AreWe are working hard
Today, Automatit has served over 2000 facilities and various digital marketing services over our dozen years in the self storage industry. We have grown from a couple of people working out of our bedrooms to a team of around 30, who all specialize in what they do best, serving our customers. We currently are the largest provider for custom websites and are integrated with most of the management software platforms. Automatit participates in all national industry trade shows and many of the state association shows as well. Our CEO, Christopher Baird, is a nationally recognized speaker and industry expert. Automatit’s longest standing self storage relationship is with probably the most well known and respected management company, Universal Storage Group, who remains a satisfied customer and has for over 12 years!
Where We Are GoingWe will innovate for you
Looking ahead, Automatit is pioneering ways to drive the self storage industry forward with our digital marketing. Finally, the self storage industry is moving forward with technology enough to take advantage of what the new digital age has to offer. We are building intentional designs and processes designed specifically to drive revenue to self storage facilities. We are also creating technology to assist self storage facility managers in their increasing workload. The future is very bright and we are as nimble as ever.
